The Couple
Rita and Sami’s wedding portraits embraced two distinctive settings on Ios: the hilltop Giannis Gaitis Museum, with panoramic views over Chora, and the seaside church of Agia Irini, where they exchanged their vows. Her elegant white gown and his all-white ensemble beautifully complemented both locations, capturing the romance of their day and their connection to the island.
The Ceremony
Rita and Sami celebrated their Orthodox wedding at Agia Irini, a charming church beside the sea at the port of Ios. Accompanied by her bridesmaids, Rita arrived by small boat, adding a memorable island touch to the occasion. With the sea as their backdrop, the couple exchanged vows in a ceremony filled with emotion and tradition.
Decoration
The floral arrangements beautifully complemented the round tables and natural wood-toned chairs, creating an elegant and welcoming setting. Against Alma Sunset Bar’s stone walls, the decoration felt perfectly in harmony with the venue’s character and island surroundings. As the sun set over the Aegean, its warm glow added a romantic finishing touch to the celebration.
Reception
Following the ceremony at Agia Irini, the celebration continued at Alma Sunset Bar, where Rita and Sami made a beautiful entrance. A spectacular display of colourful fireworks marked the moment, filling the atmosphere with excitement and setting the tone for the evening. With everyone gathered to welcome the newlyweds, the festivities flowed into a lively celebration.
The Party
After dinner, the open bar and great music kept the celebration in full swing, bringing everyone together for a night of dancing and joyful moments.
